So many possibilities here for your Craft or Collage projects and great for Steampunk art too!! I hope you enjoyed this fun collection. I love how each one is slightly varied so that you have lots of options for mixing and matching them in your projects. I think this one is quite striking, the numbers are very pleasing and the black in the center makes the design pop.Īnd here’s another cream and gold Clip Art Clock Face for you. This one is similar to the one above, only it has Roman Numerals that are framed with little shield shape outlines.Īnother variation of the one above, only the numbers are framed up with circles instead. Check out this creative Project using this Image HERE! This Antique Clock Face Clip Art cutie is done mainly in Cream with Black Roman Numerals and tiny gold hands. This first one is Black and Cream and Gold and would work well in Steampunk Projects I think. This little Scrap Clock Face Images are just too cute! They are highly detailed Victorian Scrap Clock Images with lots of gold highlights on them. I like the black finish on them, it really makes them pop. These Clip Art Clock hands are a bit plainer, but still nice. These are hard to find! The version above is sort of fancy! Here are some Clock Hand that you can use with the Faces. See how one of our readers used this graphic on her Rustic Garden Table HERE. Shown above is the black and white Clock Image with Roman Numerals on it. These Clock Part Clip Art Images were from an old French Catalog. This one has the hands on it and all! Clock Parts Clip Art Here’s a classic looking roman number time piece. This is the latest addition to this collection. It’s nice to have variations to choose from depending on your project I think! Here we have another roman numeral version, similar to the one above, but this one has the hands still on it. This one was scanned from a Circa 1902 Printers book. Everything about this one is so fancy including the hands, the roman numerals and the base. Next we have a very Ornate Clock Face Clip Art. You can find a creative Tutorial that will show you how to use this image to make a Giant Faux Wall Decor Clock HERE. I’ve also created a Black and white version for you, of that same Printable Clock Face to give you some more options. I originally posted this one many years ago, but have rescanned it at a higher resolution. You could cut out just around the face if you want a round image to work with. It’s on it’s original creamy paper background. It’s a simple plain face with numbers on it and no hands. You can print this out and make your own clocks with it, or use for collage, scrapbooking etc. You could also print this up and use it to make your own clocks, it would be fun to add a pretty graphic in the center!įirst up is a wonderful old paper Antique clock face Image. This is another really great vintage clock face, this one has with roman numerals. So here it is now! It’s a smallish image, but I could see it being quite useful, as it’s really a blank canvas all ready to be loaded up with whatever images you like on top of it. I came across this post the other day and realized that I had never posted a black and white version of the little Roman Numeral Ephemera piece below. Here is the newest addition to this collection. I’m sure you will find many fun ways to use these Vintage and Antique Clock Face Images. Just sayin! Anyway, I also love clock faces and I think they are so fun to use in art and craft projects, as well as Home Decor. I still have that clock today, and I still love it and… I may have accumulated a few more along the way as well. I was so thrilled to take my treasure home with me! I took great care of it and I even had it repaired a number of years ago, so now it works again. I brought my treasure downstairs to show my grandmother and she promptly offered to give it to me. It was inside of an old trunk and wrapped up in a blanket… a little worn and not in working condition, but still wonderful. Once, when I was about 8 or 9 years old I found a wonderful Antique Victorian (1860s) Clock in my grandparents attic. I have confession to make … I have a thing about Antique Clocks! I’ve always loved them, even as a child. I’m excited to offer this collection of Clock Face Images to you guys. As we had a connection speed of 100 Mbps, we would expect both the download and upload to take just six minutes and 40 seconds.Īs you can see from the results above, Carbonite’s upload speed is mediocre - not the worst we’ve seen, but also far from the best - and the download speed was shockingly slow.Īs the downloads took Carbonite more than 10 times longer than expected, you won’t be getting anything off this service rapidly. We tested Carbonite with a 5GB folder filled with a variety of common file types. Sadly, as you’ll see from our results, Carbonite’s speeds are slow and the downloads took far too long. Speed is a critical factor for backup services, especially when performing your initial backup or restoring your whole device, because these are often large transfers. This tier comes in at $89.99 per year ($7.50 per month). This plan will run you $71.99 per year (or $6 per month).įinally, the Prime tier includes everything from the Plus tier, and courier delivery of recovered files. Next up is the Plus tier, which gives you all of the basic features, plus the option to back up external hard drives, automatically select video files for upload and get Webroot SecureAnywhere on your computer - read our full Webroot SecureAnywhere review here. It gives you the ability to back up your device, with some simple settings for a schedule and bandwidth throttling. The Basic tier is the cheapest, at $49.99 per year (which works out to just over $4 per month). Each of these comes with unlimited storage for one device, and the price is pretty reasonable for what you get. The standard version of the backup service, called Carbonite Safe, has three separate tiers: Basic, Plus and Prime. Getting Unlimited Storage Space With Carbonite There’s also a 15-day free trial, so you can try it out before committing to an annual subscription. If you’re not clear on the difference between these two categories, you can read our guide to cloud storage vs online backup.Īll the plans are billed annually, but you can also buy a two- or three-year subscription, which will give you a 5% or 10% discount, respectively. If these drawbacks sound like deal breakers to you, be sure to check out our list of the best online backup and best cloud storage services to find an alternative that suits you. The speed, especially for downloads, is also terrible, so if you require quick access to the files that you back up to cloud storage, Carbonite probably isn’t the service for you. That said, this also makes the cloud backup process very rigid, with little in the way of customization. Setting up your backup and restoring your files is incredibly easy to do and requires little effort on the user’s part. Carbonite has poor download speeds, but there is a courier recovery service.ĭepending on which Carbonite plan you go for, you can back up your computer, external hard drives and servers. The security is pretty great – just remember to enable private encryption.Carbonite is light on features but easy to use.Keep reading this Carbonite review to learn more. Either configure individual apps (which have built-in support for SOCKS) or enforce proxy system-wide transparently (what you are trying to do). But you need to make your traffic SOCKS-aware before directing towards SOCKS proxy. it takes TCP/UDP traffic and SOCKSify it before sending through shadowsocks tunnel. The link you have provided is not setting up SOCKS but a transparent proxy i.e. Are there other settings that I should enable first? I have tried: IP6TABLES=/system/bin/ip6tables It looks like AFWall+ is able to create a NAT forwarding policy to keep all traffic going through a SOCKS5 proxy and fool Google apps into thinking they are not connected via a VPN (Google apps implement additional security measures when connecting via VPNService and if you are in China you will not pass the security check - the security check requests don't go through VPN, so they will EOF because GFW will kill these requests, read more here). In light of that, Maxwave Proxifier employs Android VpnService to create the required VPN network interface.I got the inspiration here. User data must be sent through a on-device VPN network interface to be encapsulated and encrypted before Maxwave Proxifier sends them to their destination via a user-specified proxy server. So how do we design jobs that humans enjoy and that keep them healthy and vital? For example, we want to see our children, spend time with our friends, and take time off to regain energy. Humans can do them, but they get sick and unhappy. Many jobs aren't designed with humans' needs in mind. How do we find the time to do what humans do best – to be creative, compassionate and courageous? How will we prepare for longer lives and longer careers and what will the impact of these changes be on society? At a juncture where many are beginning to ask these questions, we turn to experts from four different fields to help us work towards answers about what it will mean to be human in our changing world. How do businesses give their employees a sense of purpose and belonging while introducing innovative technologies that replace people? Progress does not come without a price and many already feel overwhelmed by the constant demands of communications technologies. As robots become more sophisticated and artificial intelligence encroaches ever further into spaces traditionally the preserve of humankind, people are asking themselves: Where will humans fit in? And what skills should humans focus on in order to compete successfully in the job market of the future?Īt the same time, people are demanding more of the work world. Objective-C inherits the syntax, primitive types, and flow control statements of C and adds syntax for defining. It’s a superset of the C programming language and provides object-oriented capabilities and a dynamic runtime. Apple is already changing the nomenclature of the cocoa framework methods to adopt Swift naming conventions, so they aren't really waiting for anything. Objective-C is the primary programming language you use when writing software for OS X and iOS. And at the end of it all they will be Swift frameworks, so general knowledge will not be wasted, but specifcia knowlege may very well be wasted. all of those frameworks are destined for change in the near-mid future. You will need to understand the general layout and design structure of a Cocoa framework, and then get very good at Swift. I suggest doing a few intro tutorials to Cocoa, and then moving completely to Swift. This is the best approach for anyone coming to programming for the first time. It was first introduced by Apple at WWDC 2014. Apple notoriously quotes Wayne Gretzky : skate to where the puck will be. A new Swift programming language from Apple can be best described as Objective-C without the C. It's very mature, hugely powerful because of its dynamic runtime, which Swift doesn't have, and will never have, and it will never break because Apple will never change the ObjC runtime now. However, based on various information resources (such as GitHub, StackOverflow), it can be concluded that the popularity of Swift continues to grow. Objective-C / Swift Firstly, there's totally nothing wrong with considering ObjC. The real challenge isn't learning Obj-C it's learning Cocoa, which takes the quirks of Obj-C and adds quite a few more (that made a lot of sense when they were written.) But you will learn Cocoa regardless of which path you choose. Apple does not provide public statistics, and there is no a single comprehensive Objective-C vs Swift comparison regarding their popularity and usage online. So, if we review the OP, the question is about learning Obj-C vs Swift. On Apple systems, Swift uses the same runtime as the extant Objective-C system, but requires iOS 7 or macOS 10.9 or higher. You cannot interact with the OS at a high level of abstraction without interacting with Cocoa. Its important to have the words defined because Cocoa is. Swift : a computer language, written in response to user requests for Obj-C. Foundation: a set of OS frameworks, written in C and C++ that under pins Cocoa frameworks. Cocoa : a set of OS frameworks, originally written in Objective-C. In the meantime Cocoa is accessible from Swift. Objective-C : a computer language, based on C. It's important to have the words defined because Cocoa is destined to be written in Swift. The only free program I can think of that might be able to do what you want, and which will produce decent code is Mobirise. Wappler was designed as a back-end, PHP type builder, but it also does front end sites. It’s is also fairly expensive, and there is a significant learning curve involved. While I have not used it, the program Wappler supposedly produced clean semantic code. Webflow, however, is a cloud-based program that you must pay a monthly subscription for (if you want to be able to export your site’s code, there is a free version with no code export.) There is also a learning curve involved in using Webflow, though it is a very polished and well documented program. The next program that I know produces clean code is Webflow. It has pre-made blocks, and fairly easy-to-use visual tools to customize most components. You don’t (can’t) edit the HTML, but you do need to know CSS to do anything fancy, and having a basic understanding of how HTML and CSS work is kind of important to really get the most out of the program. While it is not free, it is very reasonably priced, but there is a bit of a learning curve. Not easy, but worth it.īootstrap Studio is another program (my personal fav) that produces perfect code. Pinegrow, of course, is one of them, and if you’re serious about building websites, it’s worth it to buy the program and learn how to use it. Over the last 10 years, I’ve come across precious few website builders that output clean, semantic code. Tons of inline styles and unnecessary nested divs. I’m not familiar with Webacappella Grid, but the sample site I examined had pretty awful code as well. I tried using it once a few years ago, and it was just terrible. WYSIWYG is one of the WORST website builders I’ve ever encountered. My very question is will these be issues in converting a Rocketcake generated HTML webpages to inside Pinegrow Theme Converter? Will conversion work or will it require standard semantics for the conversion to work. My question is this: Can Pinegrow Theme Converter converts the generated web pages from Rocketcake into Wordpress theme? I am not a coder but I have checked the code that Rocketcake generates is that 1.) every HTML element is inside a div… for example the h1 tag is inside a div, a paragraph text on the same container is also inside another div… what I mean is that there are two many nested divs inside a container division 2.) the html ids are auto generated, they are alphanumeric characters… naming the ids is impossible, 3.) the menu is not made of ordered or underordered and list tags but rather anchor tags and 4.) there is no paragraph tag but rather a div tag and span tag for every specific styling of text. I like the software since it is easy to use and is able to create responsive website without coding. I am using a free version of Rocketcake, a drag and drop responsive website maker. |
